On The Road Again: Whitney

Well, well, well. Look who's taking their show on the road?

2019 was a pretty big year for Chicago's Whitney, and it looks as though 2020 will provide more of the same.

 Having released their latest LP, Forever Turned Around, this summer, Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek are taking their sun-dappled winter music on the road once again. To my ears, their latest effort channels whispers of The Band, The Beach Boys, and The Byrds (the three Bs), churning things around in these contemplative, lovely songs. Just this week the band shared songs from a limited run 7", "FTA" b/w "Far, Far Away" (a cover ditty of their fellow Chicagoans Wilco).

Currently touring the UK, the band kicks off their US tour with a run of shows at Chicago's Thalia Hall (all but one of which are sold out as of posting). Full dates below.
