Video of The Day: Prettiest Eyes

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It should be pretty obvious just who inspired Prettiest Eyes' scathing, paint-peeling noise in "Mr. President." The sinister precision of the bassline anchors the song in a dark, chilling place - a place these three can manipulate into something fantastic and pretty addictive.

The video has a truly terrifying puppet overlord (with awful hair) as one of the central characters, and again, no points for guessing the inspiration. The premise of brainwashing the masses with various levels of fascist-esque indoctrination feels a little too close to home. It's a little unsettling, but well shot.
