Video of The Day: Timothy Eerie

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

The last time I gushed over Timothy Eerie, the band was basking in the Florida sunshine. Now based in Austin, these patrons of psychedelia are still making the kind of noise that can trip like nobody's business. "Transformation of Things" comes from their soon-to-be released debut, Ritual, out in April. The song's initially placid, liquified psych calls to mind late nights and hazy mornings, while the electricity in mid-song calls to mind other galaxies.

With a sensory overloading video that's as far-out as the song itself, Timothy Eerie makes Friday more than alright.
