Singles Club - Premiere Edition: Timothy Eerie

From the land of Disney World comes an entirely different kind of magic kingdom: Timothy Eerie.

It's a pleasure to bring you the premiere of new single "It's Always The Same," taken from the three-song EP of the same name (out in July on Ghost Drag). Instrumental save for some spooky vocal clips peppered here and there, the song is a three and a half minute trip down a heck of a rabbit hole. A whirlwind of incandescent haze, serious guitar wailing, and bursts of towering noise, the song's shapeshifting gives it an underlying sense of not knowing what's coming next. All the decadent distortion and rowdiness make the song a most agreeable fix for psych fans.

Timothy Eerie will be touring the EP come summertime, dates on the flyer posted here. And read on to get to know Casey, man behind the curtain, as you'll undoubtedly be hearing more about Timothy Eerie in the very near future.

FUZZY LOGIC: PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF
My name is Casey and I sing songs and play guitar under the moniker Timothy Eerie.

FL: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND
East coast pop art experimentation.

FL: WHAT'S THE SCENE LIKE IN THE GREATER ORLANDO AREA?
It can be a tough scene to crack into. But there are a lot of talented people around Orlando putting on interesting shows and making beautiful art.

FL: LITTLE-KNOWN TIMOTHY EERIE FACT
The band formed after Mike Scitney, the drummer for Timothy Eerie, and I met playing together in a blues cover band a couple years back. One day, I showed him my original tunes and he embraced the sound immediately which gave me the confidence to move forward with the project.

FL: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR TOURING THIS EP?
We're doing a two week East Coast tour to celebrate the new EP during which we'll be experimenting with a lot of projection mapping, astral projecting, disorienting visuals, and groovy new tunes that will crawl into your ear hole and never leave.

FL: AND WHAT ABOUT AFTER THE EP? WHAT'S IN STORE?
After tour we're taking a band trip to a remote rainforest with a bucket of ayahuasca and 4 track recorder to cut our first full album.

FL: WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR TIMOTHY EERIE?
A prolific spurt of creativity fueled by manic depression and loss of identity, eventual drug addiction, followed by a downward spiral of paranoia.
