Video of The Day: The Arthur Brothers

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Verging on the cynical but cavalierly charming, "Violet Hum" is all over the place and back again. London-based trio The Arthur Brothers leaves no space unfilled with their grandiose beast of a song. This is certainly one of the most intriguing songs I've heard in some time, and there's something new to hear with every listen.

The video is as technicolor as the song itself, and that's saying something. It's almost as though the expression "all over the shop" was created for the song/video. There's so much color in the video that it's almost overwhelming - though in the midst of winter that's no bad thing. This is an exquisitely captivating video, kooky and wonderful just like the song it's paired with.
