Video Of The Day: Seasaw
There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.
With splendid harmonies and a bit of fuzzy guitar, Seasaw's "God(villa)" is a rather fetching little number. Written as an examination of "the funny ways in which the mind copes with fear," a topical subject these days. Eve and Meg's voices together are sheer perfection, and the song has a sense of lightness that's incredibly appealing. I can already tell that this one's going to get stuck in my brain.
The video feels playful and deceptively light-hearted, with the duo starring as coach and trainee Godzilla. The scene with the gleeful destruction of a small paper village is probably my favorite, but the whole clip is well done.
