Video Of The Day: Phantastic Ferniture

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I've been gushing about Julia Jacklin for a little while now, so it's about time for me to talk about her latest venture, Phantastic Ferniture.

Anchored by Jacklin's heavenly, starry-eyed vocals, "Bad Timing" is a firecracker. Fuzzy jangling casts a playful vibe over the song, though the song certainly isn't as lighthearted as it sounds. For those of us who have run into their own case/s of bad timing, this one really strikes a chord.

What better way to visually take the edge off those emotionally-fraught situations than with ferns?! It makes sense, really, and the silliness of the fern-faced shenanigans are appreciated.
