Video of The Day: Bonny Doon

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

"I should be happy/but I'm not" opine Bonny Doon with a sense of shoulder-shrugging resignation in the splendidly scuzzed, sleepy psych folk nugget "A Lotta Things." It's a lovely, languid little number, but one that also taps into the shortcomings of reality pretty well.

The video, shot in a way that matches the visuals to the band's slightly nostalgic soundscapes, has a decidedly home movie feel. It also gives new meaning to singing in the shower.

Ultimately, "A Lotta Things" serves as another reminder about why it's important to go see Bonny Doon on their impending US tour. Happily, there are plenty of dates to be had! Bonny Doon for everyone!
