Video of The Day: Pete International Airport

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Pete International Airport's 2017 record Safer With The Wolves was one of my favorite listens of all of last year, and the intoxicating collaboration with Robert Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, "Flowers of Evil," was one of my favorite moments from that excellent lp.

As it happens, the Peter G. Holmström-led outfit has just released a video for said collaboration. The magnetic, mesmeric nature of the song fits well with the visuals of Holmström and Been, and the prevalent deep blues married with the velvet sonic seduction encourage heavy eyelids and the need to fall down this tantalizing rabbit hole again and again.

Hear this song live on one of the joint BRMC-PIA dates, happening in the very near future (maybe I'll see you in Carrboro?).
