Video of The Day: MIEN
There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.
Fresh off their debut performance together at this weekend's Levitation down in Austin, let's all take a minute to ogle the visuals MIEN put together for new trip-sender "Odessey."
The song itself is a feisty, dynamic earthquaker, and the video's rapid-fire collage style (put together and directed by MIEN man John-Mark Lapham) incorporates bold vintage images into visual art. It's simply not possible to listen to this song just once, or watch this video just once, but that's just fine as I'm sure you'll end up just as transfixed as I've become.
