Video of The Day: Fleet Foxes

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

"If You Need To, Keep Time On Me" is Robin Pecknold doing what he does so very well. The Fleet Foxes mastermind strikes goosebump-inducing gold on this enveloping, ethereal wonder, yet another of his painfully beautiful efforts.

The video is equally impressive, featuring stunning animation by David Hession and Rosie Holtom. As the landscapes change in a subtle and natural kaleidoscope, the combination of song and video proves utterly spellbinding. This is the band's first foray into the realm of vertical videos, a difference that makes everything feel that much more special. As Hession says, "each scene [is] an expression of time passing and how time is measured through nature, as majestically delicate as the song itself."  

Perhaps Robin and co. will include this particular diamond in the set for the lengthy tour that kicks off tonight? Why not go and see for yourself. Dates below.
