Video of The Day: Camera Obscura

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Camera Obscura's frothy, catchier than catchy "Lloyd, I'm Ready to Be Heartbroken" is known for being the band's 2006 response to Lloyd Cole's 1984 song "Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken." This gorgeous piece of effervescently twee Glaswegian perfection also happens to be one of yours truly's most favorite songs ever (not to mention a dancefloor favorite, as well).

The video is definitely on the camp side, in a gloriously giddy way. Apologies, of course, to those couples who do actually dance in department stores together.
