Video of The Day: Daniele Luppi + Parquet Courts

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

For his new record MILANO (out October 27), producer and artist Daniele Luppi has drafted some special friends to help tell his tales of modern Milan - namely, Karen O and Parquet Courts. "Soul and Cigarette" features the latter, and this kicky little number is a tart, terse treasure that fans of Parquet Courts will be smitten with. The video is a heck of an abstract train ride, vintage images playing so nicely with each note.
