Sounds of Hopscotch 2017 #25: Truth Club

It's time once again to cast a longing glance down to Raleigh and the delectable Hopscotch. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best festivals around, and since 2010 it's been doing nothing but get bigger and better every year. Sadly, I won't be there this year, but I've pored over the lineup and have a handful of picks that I think you should pay close attention to.

If you've ever wondered what "rare earth metal" is, wonder no more. Raleigh's Truth Club makes just that very sub genre, and it turns out that it's a mix of warbling slacker fuzz mixed with geometrical math rock tempo changes and overall lo-fi fantasticness. Pretty addictive, this rare earth metal. 

Truth Club plays at Neptunes at 10:30 PM on 9/9.
