Sounds of Hopscotch 2017 #23: The Mineral Girls

It's time once again to cast a longing glance down to Raleigh and the delectable Hopscotch. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best festivals around, and since 2010 it's been doing nothing but get bigger and better every year. Sadly, I won't be there this year, but I've pored over the lineup and have a handful of picks that I think you should pay close attention to.

I'm very much in favor of the unapologetic, rambunctious noise of Charlotte's The Mineral Girls. Their "post-internet emotive indie pop" really gets the blood pumping, emoting a sound that is both defiant and joyous (not to mention charming). 

The Mineral Girls plays at Slim's at 9:30 PM on 9/9.
