Sounds of Hopscotch 2017 #14: Konvoi

It's time once again to cast a longing glance down to Raleigh and the delectable Hopscotch. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best festivals around, and since 2010 it's been doing nothing but get bigger and better every year. Sadly, I won't be there this year, but I've pored over the lineup and have a handful of picks that I think you should pay close attention to.

"Psych-leaning post-punk" is how Konvoi describes their sound, and that's pretty on target. Their newest songs exist in a chilled midnight sythscape, marking a change from the snarling punkishness of previous songs. I'm into these Asheville dudes either way.

Konvoi plays CAM at 10:00 PM on 9/8.
