Sounds of Hopscotch 2017 #12: Aunt Sis

It's time once again to cast a longing glance down to Raleigh and the delectable Hopscotch. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best festivals around, and since 2010 it's been doing nothing but get bigger and better every year. Sadly, I won't be there this year, but I've pored over the lineup and have a handful of picks that I think you should pay close attention to.

Another of the excellent crop of Asheville bands taking over this year's Hopscotch, Aunt Sis makes a rather wonderful racket. Their sounds range from tranquil lo-fi ramblings to down and dirty tumult - sometimes in the same song. Always eccentric, Aunt Sis is sure to entertain up close and in person.

Aunt Sis plays Fletcher at 9:30 PM on 9/8.
