Video of The Day: Paul Draper

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

My goodness, it's wonderful to be talking about new music from Paul Draper. Draper, the former frontman of one of my most favorite 90s bands Mansun, has finally taken dipped his toe into the solar artist waters, and his return is a happy one indeed for loyal Mansun acolytes. His voice is much the same, still incredibly distinctive and full of bite. "Things People Want" touches on the commercial-centric culture of today with Draper's usual wit and panache, the video making a point right along with the song. Welcome back, Paul. Welcome back.
