Singles Club: The Tads + Thea & The Wild + Toro Y Moi

Consider Singles Club your musical matchmaker. I do hope you'll give all these ready to mingle bachelors and bachelorettes your ear as you listen to some new favorite tunes. Read on in the hopes of finding your musical love connection.

This installment of Singles Club is, inadvertently, brought to you by the letter "T." Three good tunes from three "T" bands. Talk about a treat!

"She Is My Dream" is pretty much as dreamy as can be. A perfect slice of 1950s poptasticness, this gem as recorded by The Tads is a true treasure. From the so very appealing sounding Mid-Century Sounds - Deep Cuts from The Desert record, this particular song just got some screen time in an episode of Orange is The New Black, and is worthy of a lot of your time.

Like a misplaced 80s Brat Pack soundtrack nugget, Thea & The Wild's "City of Gold" is a pop diamond heavy with emotion. A self-described "tale of lost happiness," the song's glossy glisten belies something much deeper.

From Toro Y Moi's forthcoming fifth record, Boo Boo, comes "A Girl Like You." A lithe, though layered, synth dandy, there's a lot to this song - both in terms of sounds and content. It really speaks to the lovelorn in us all.
