Without a doubt, Treefort is at the top of my festival bucket list. This downtown Boise, ID festival once again features a lineup that is well and truly stacked from top to bottom, with the emphasis being on showcasing bands from the very, very fertile Western lands. After poring over this year's lineup, these are the bands I'm swooning over the hardest.
Seattle's Colorworks professes to "flirt with the sounds of the British Invasion," and that's a claim that certainly gets my attention. This foursome ebulliently jangles through their songs, shades of early Hollies and Zombies ("She Said No" reminds me of a reply to "Tell Her No") mingling with the band's more modern approach. I've got an inkling these gents are rather entertaining in person.
