Singles Club: Helvetia

Y'all know how I love a good side project. Helvetia is the side gig of Built to Spill's bassist Jason Albertini, and I'm intrigued.

"Crumbs Like Saucers" is a pretty compelling little jam. Humming with an ever-present, obstinate drone, the two minutes fly by in a whirl of Albertini's blasé, heard-it-all vocals and a fetching haze of wandering noise. This is a song it's hard to tear yourself away from.
