Crossing The Pond: Aaron Wright
It's getting late on a Sunday night, I'm feeling a bit blue, and I'm feeling compelled to share a lovely, rather blue folk gem from Scottish songsmith Aaron Wright.
"Proper Chronic Lonely" is truly troubadour material, dire straits hard times mixed with the ache of lost love in a brutally honest, beautifully gritty song. Oh, and there's legendary Scots musicians all over the place (Belle & Sebastian and Teenage Fanclub, for starters). With friends like that, and with a voice like that, Wright feels destined for something special.
And for those of you who enjoyed watching Eastenders, you really ought to recognize the other star of the video below.
