Video Of The Day: Mystic Braves

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I was already ridiculously in smit with this particular Mystic Braves ditty, and they went and made my addiction even worse. There is not a darned thing about the video for "Desert Island" that isn't absolutely awesome. Just like the song. Here's the deal. They're in the desert! Under unbleached skies! They're playing their song! There are random shots of florals and other things! It's campy and amazing! Basically, it's trippy dippy, it's exactly what you would probably expect it to be, and it's absolutely, completely, and utterly perfect. Yeah, just like the song.
