Meet RCRDS

Let it not be said that there isn't any interesting music being made in the greater DC metro. Lo and behold, here comes RCRDS, the duo of Davis Connors and Felipe Valdez, a pair hellbent on making some seriously killer noise.

Cool as the Arctic, RCRDS slinks along this five-song debut EP, called Summer Aches, with an effortless guile. Theirs is a special blend of ethereal, electronic noise with exclamation points of fuzz and shaded spectres of shoegaze appearing at frequent intervals. I found "Goldleaf" to be of particular interest, wound with stolen whispers and haunting, icy landscapes. Beautiful.   

It's one heck of an impressive start for these two, and I'll certainly be expecting big things from them.
