Sounds Of SXSW #11: Goner Records SXSW Mixtape

SXSW is upon us once again, my friends, and sadly, for mostly work-related reasons, I won't be there (alas, alack, etc etc). However, there are plenty of good bands that will be in Austin, and I'm going to post little somethin-somethins for y'all to enjoy, whether you're headed down to Texas or not.

Yeah, Memphis label/store/powerhouse combo Goner Records all sorts of rules. They prove it all the time, putting out some of the best in new tunes all the dang calendar year long. At SXSW this year they've got a party planned that will probably be one of the bestest of all parties (3/16 at Beerland, for those in Austin), full of shoegaze and scuzzy rock'n'roll and hopefully a whole lot of debaucherous antics. I love every song on this mixtape they so kindly put together, and odds are good you will too. Check it, y'all.
