Video of The Day: Flat Worms

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I will probably never not love bands-on-the-road/run videos. This kind of video feels especially poignant now that we're all indefinitely sheltering in place (well, hopefully that's what we're doing - stay at home, kids).

The grainy, home video styled clip for "The Aughts" fits the growling, prowling Flat Worms noise perfectly. Shaky shots of the LA band en route to somewhere are interspersed with city scenes and shots of the band making their insistent, tumultuous clamor; a fraught, throbbing mass of tightrope riffs, pummeling drums, and meaty bass.

Find "The Aughts" and more on the forthcoming Flat Worms album Antarctica, due out April 10 (pre-order here).
