Video of The Day: Georgia
There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.
Georgia's new dancefloor divinity ("About Work the Dancefloor") is a pulsating prowler of a song. It's got a sweetness to it, a sense of lightness, while also feeling kissed with something a bit darker. Pulling inspiration from "going out and getting that emotion or sensation from a collective energy in various spaces," Georgia offers up a heck of a head rush with this one.
The video is no wallflower, either. The house backdrop present in much of the visuals gives me serious V.C. Andrews cover vibes, and the abstractions found among the lights and flames (!) are spot on. Oh, and the disco ball feels right at home.
