Video of The Day: Misty Coast

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It's been far too long since I last wrote about Norway's Misty Coast, and it's about time to rectify the situation. The sun-dappled shoegaze of "Backseat Warriors" comes from the band's new record Melodaze, out on January 25. Softly resplendent in a wash of golden hour fuzz and breathy, slow motion vocals, "Backseat Warriors" feels like some kind of special.

The video's color tricks and treats fit in with the daydream realm of the song delightfully, making this a treat for eyes and ears.
