Video of The Day: Living Hour

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

A painfully, beautifully acute feeling of loneliness comes across in Living Hour's gorgeous "Bottom Step." It's a song that's lovelorn and lonely in the loveliest ways, ephemeral and ethereal and palpably vulnerable. Sam Sarty's vocals are pointed as they are nuanced, not to mention irresistible. As is the song as a whole.

The video is a visual treat, the appeal of crystal clear sunshine and the stunning lakeside location making the song's pained sentiments even more intense. You can almost feel the release of the swimming scenes. The video and the song prove that there can certainly be something lovely, even powerful, about solitude. A magnificent song and video, watch this one often.
