Video Of The Day: Melody's Echo Chamber

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

The new video from Melody's Echo Chamber is exactly what I needed today. Like some obscure, charming 80s TV cartoon, the video (third in this series of clips) is bright and colorful and a little thought-provoking.

"Cross My Heart" is a tremendous, lavishly expansive epic in and of itself. Melody Prochet (along with her co-conspirators from Dungen and The Amazing) has really outdone herself with the song's scale. Psychedelic to many degrees, this is a heck of a wonderland to find oneself in. And the video, with its quirky whimsy, is just the right fit to visualize the many twists and turns. Prochet's vocals have always been enchanting, and this song is yet another display of her magical powers.
