Video of The Day: Shannon Shaw

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

With her smoky, pouty vocals, Shannon Shaw really nails the femme fatale thing. The latest single from her solo debut, Shannon In Nashville, is "Freddies 'N' Teddies," a sultry purr of a thrown gauntlet in the direction of a hard-to-get paramour.

The video is a kitschy little clip indeed. Shaw performs with a backing band of teddy bears here and there, and that, combined with the video's other elements, bring a lightness to the song, taking the edge off just a little. Another fine effort from this divine damsel.
