Video of The Day: Parquet Courts

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Shot during Mardi Gras, the video for "Mardi Gras Beads" picks up on some of that indescribable magic that's only found in New Orleans. The clip sees Parquet Courts tooling around the city; Austin wandering contemplatively after catching a certain strand of beads, and the rest of the band searching for him before the band's show.

Parquet Courts is hitting the road this weekend for a lengthy run of dates. If you're in the DC area, stay tuned for a giveaway for their 9:30 Club stop in June. Otherwise, be sure you get out there and see these dudes when they come to your neck of the woods.
