Video of The Day: Orbital

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It's been quite a while (five years, give or take), but the Hartnoll brothers and their legendary two-headed electronic monster Orbital are back.

From the forthcoming Monsters Exist, out in September, "Tiny Folding Cities" is imbued with an undercurrent of darkness. There's a tension in each beat, a mix of intensity and urgency. It also happens to just be an incredibly absorbing song.

The video takes a primarily overhead approach to a variety of city scenes, working up to a frenzy. The engaging shots were incredibly well with the song, picking up on the music's energy while providing plenty of its own.
