Video of The Day: Beach House

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Not long to wait until Beach House's seventh record, fittingly and simply called 7, is upon us, my friends. One mere week to go. In honor of that, and the weekend, and for the sheer love of this divine Baltimorean duo, let's take a few moments to swoon over this impossibly gorgeous song, shall we? Sinuously undulating with the hum of endless, humid summer midnights, the rapturous black velvet caress of "Black Car" makes for an incredibly pleasurable listen.

The video for "Black Car" is nearly as captivating as the song itself, black and white and hypnotic all over. The stark, graphic clip is as hard to look away from as the song is hard to stop listening to.
