Video of The Day: Franz Ferdinand

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I'm still basking in some Franz Ferdinand afterglow thanks to their divine DC show a couple weeks ago, so let's just keep the flames burning away, shall we? "Glimpse of Love" is a masterwork of cheeky indie pop with serious panache, and the video is officially too much (in the best of ways).

Sheep, synchronized dance moves, and serious mugging for the camera are all involved to varying degrees. And how can one not fall in love with a band willing to cavort in fields chasing after sheep? Not to mention all the silliness that is in perfect harmony with the sassy dancefloor slink of the song. Directed by Alice Kunisue, this video is exactly what needed to happen for this little firecracker. If your Monday has you in need of a pick-me-up, stop what you're doing and watch this video (as many times as it takes).
