Singles Club: Ari Roar + Benjamin Lazar Davis + The Magic Numbers

Consider Singles Club your musical matchmaker. I do hope you'll give all these ready to mingle bachelors and bachelorettes your ear as you listen to some new favorite tunes. Read on in the hopes of finding your musical love connection.

Ari Roar's "Don't Have A Fit" is impossibly listenable, all jangling vintage fuzz and beach pop and charming vocals. The delightfully off-kilter song was inspired by the very real drama of moving, and by the very serious issue of anxiety. It's a truly marvelous moment, its only flaw being that it's highly addictive.

"I'm always trying to decipher your eyes," sings Benjamin Lazar Davis in his gorgeously melancholic "Choosing Sides." The song is a beautiful piece of brilliantine bedroom pop, a deceptively sleepy afternoon ramble through the frustration and heartaches behind the coin flip nature of relationships.

The Magic Numbers has been away for a wee while now, and haven't released new tunes for four years, but happily 2018 sees them coming back on the scene. "Ride Against The Wind" is another dandy from the London-based outfit, a frolicsome hip-shaker perfect for warm climes and the open road. It's such a pleasure to have these ladies and gents back and making music once again.
