Video of The Day: A Place to Bury Strangers

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It takes a special video indeed to match the sonic intensity of A Place to Bury Strangers. For new single "Never Coming Back," from the band's long-awaited forthcoming fifth record Pinned, the visuals are spine-tinglingly perfect.

A new take on a modern ghost story, the video centers on a girl who's haunted by...herself. As she runs from her menacing, ghostly self, the APTBS onslaught of sinister, ghoulish noise closes in. Perhaps her biggest mistake is ending up at an APTBS live show, because there's no chance anyone will hear her scream. As things come crashing down, things come to their inevitable end. And I think both the song and the video might just leave you stupefied.
