Singles Club: Hot Snakes + Minor Characters + Noble Son

Consider Singles Club your musical matchmaker. I do hope you'll give all these ready to mingle bachelors and bachelorettes your ear as you listen to some new favorite tunes. Read on in the hopes of finding your musical love connection.

It's been 14 years, but Hot Snakes has returned with some new noise. The San Diego snarlers release their fourth record, Jericho Sirens, on March 16 on Sub Pop, and "Death Camp Fantasy" is part of this latest charge. Prickly and quite a bit shouty, "Death Camp Fantasy" is an unapologetic sonic hellion.

Chicagoans Minor Characters might have given "Pimps of Freedom (Whores of D.C.)" a daydreamy, gauzy overcoat, but the political sentiment comes through loud and clear through the haze. The trio is prepping for an imminent sophomore release, so keep your eyes a-peeled.

"Problem Daughter" starts out prettily enough, with much goosebump-raising cooing and strumming. And then, all of a sudden, comes a shift. A build. And then Noble Son lets splendidly loose. "Problem Daughter" is a dynamic tale of two songs, melting together in such a wonderful way.
