Video of The Day: Xylouris White

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It's been a tough week already, and I needed a certain something to snap me out of this week's blues. That certain something appears to be the Xylouris White video for their song "Only Love." From the duo's third record Mother (due out January 19 on Bella Union), "Only Love" is a frenzied, fascinating whirling dervish of wonderful noise. The video, directed by Lucy Dyson, is absolutely captivating, with a wonderful sense of kitsch that really fits the song just as perfectly as can be.
