On The Road Again: The Black Angels/The Black Lips

Well, well, well. Look who's taking their show on the road?

Alex Maas of The Black Angels really says it best when it comes to his band linking up with The Black Angels on a tour: "Unlike a lot of things right now, touring with The Black Lips just makes sense." Having seen both of these bands live, the idea of these two being on the same tour strikes me as one of the best ideas I've heard in a rather long time. This "Birds and The Bees Tour" brings together one of psych rock's finest (and one of the best live bands around, in my humble opinion) with one of snarl rock's finest for what promises to be an infinitely enjoyable run of dates. This latest run of Black Angels dates sees them with support from The Black Lips for all dates except for the Levitation and Shaky Knees dates at the end of the tour. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. Don't you dare miss this tour.
