Video of The Day: Walrus

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

It's Thanksgiving here in the US, and for many of us that means quality family time. In this Walrus video for "Family Hangover," there's plenty of quality family time, illustrating that timeless adage that the family that drinks together...vomits and passes out together. Wait, is that how it goes? In any event, the Conehead-style family is going to feel pretty rough in the morning. The song itself starts off with a sun-drenched sort of softness, building slowly to a climax of thoroughly delightful psych pop racket.
