Singles Club: Alex Bloom + Crater + Pinkshinyultrablast

Consider Singles Club your musical matchmaker. I do hope you'll give all these ready to mingle bachelors and bachelorettes your ear as you listen to some new favorite tunes. Read on in the hopes of finding your musical love connection.

Influenced by the production stylings of Beatles and Beach Boys records, on "One More Shot" Alex Bloom manages to capture something timeless. A reminiscence of Bloom's first heartbreak, the song carries a sense of lovelorn disappointment. It's a tender, sweet effort, and shows a heck of a lot of promise.

Pacific Northwest twosome Crater keeps it supple and serpentine with their electropop "Novocaine." An underlying darkness cuts through the sugary synths, making this sparkler a work of substance and style.

Russian shoegaze exporters Pinkshinyultrablast keep things interesting on new effort "In The Hanging Gardens" by adding some sumptuous synth play to their noise, with much success. It's a shimmering, radiant sound indeed.
