Video of The Day: Altered Images

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

Brief though their run may have been, Scotland's Altered Images left a few gems in their brief back catalogue. "I Could Be Happy" is probably my favorite, with Clare Grogan's coquettish pout in perfect harmony with the effervescent, rambunctious jangle that hallmarks the song. It's sunlight peaking through the rainclouds, this one. The video (and let's be honest, the song) is the kind of arty silliness that bands still try to nail to this day.
