Sounds of Hopscotch 2017 #4: Moon Racer

It's time once again to cast a longing glance down to Raleigh and the delectable Hopscotch. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best festivals around, and since 2010 it's been doing nothing but get bigger and better every year. Sadly, I won't be there this year, but I've pored over the lineup and have a handful of picks that I think you should pay close attention to.

It's hard not to be instantly smitten with Moon Racer. A one-woman show out of Durham, Moon Racer makes music "from my bedroom to yours," her sparkling, fuzzy dream pop the stuff of sonic daydreams. Delicate as many beautiful things are, the four-track treasures of Moon Racer make for enchanting listening.

Moon Racer plays Neptunes at 10:00 PM on 9/7.
