Video of The Day: The Texas Gentlemen

There’s a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video Of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

The Texas Gentlemen and their "Bondurant Women" are hitting the right spot today. The song's blend of blue-eyed soul, gospel, funk, and old time rock and roll (with a kick of twang) is dynamic and potent, and serves as a tantalizing taste of what's on offer on their forthcoming debut long player, TX Jelly. The song's video is a little silly and a little tongue-in-cheek, with a used car salesman making a special guest appearance. All told, I'm pretty impressed by this New West outfit.
