Video of The Day: RAYS

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

RAYS is so needed in these crazy times. This Oakland outfit embraces the mad world and in return creates some divine post punk to offset some of the nightmare. "Theatre of Lunacy" crackles with the same irrepressible jangle of the best Buzzcocks riffs, and could easily be mistaken for vintage Flying Nun. The video is equally endearing, and equally lo-fi. It's over far too quickly, which just means you'll have to watch it again (and again and then some).
