Video of The Day: Oasis

There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.

I'm feeling very much in the mood for Oasis lately, so I've decided to gush a little about the video for "Masterplan," one of the band's legendary b-sides. Directed by Ben & Greg, the video shows the band in illustrated form, walking around a gray Manchester and playing shows here, there, and everywhere. As with the song itself, there's both an air of melancholy and defiance. It's a top example of Noel Gallagher's songwriting chops, and I think the song and video have both aged rather well.
