Singles Club: Wilding + Tow'rs + MOOON

Consider Singles Club your musical matchmaker. I do hope you'll give all these ready to mingle bachelors and bachelorettes your ear as you listen to some new favorite tunes. Read on in the hopes of finding your musical love connection.

Admittedly, I missed the boat on Dave Woody's former band, Fiver. I'm glad to not be so remiss with his new venture, Wilding. "Hot Prowl" is dynamic in all the right places, a California cool undercurrent running parallel to nuanced bursts and emotive vocals. Says Woody; "We don't matter. Which can be liberating."

Flagstaff's Tow'rs just shared the tremulous, tender heartbreaker "Liminal." This spectral folk shade is breathless perfection, so very poignant and so very lovely. I shall wait with baited breath for their new record, Grey Fidelity, out in April.

Close your eyes, friends, and let the vibrant 60s jangle of Dutch psych revivalists MOOON rain down upon you. These dandy long hairs look and sound the part, their "Mary You Wanna" has that glorious, lo-fi grit, the cooingly come-hither vocals, and an inescapable catchiness. Some sweet guitar licks and serious shimmy make this one hard to stop listening to.
