Newsworthy: 3/12/17

Have you heard the word? Here's a few items of interest you may want to know about.

A big news item coming out of last week was the release of a new Blonde Redhead EP - the 3 O'Clock EP. It's hard to believe they've been around for nearly 25 years, and still making their gorgeous, haunting dreamscapes. The video for "Golden Light" premiered on Consequence of Sound and is worth repeated views.
   


Also hard to believe is that Elliott Smith's Either/Or is 20 years old. To commemorate the 20th anniversary, Kill Rock Stars rereleased the record with some live and unreleased tracks for your listening pleasure. I know it's bittersweet, but definitely good to see such celebration around this gem of a record.



And finally, consider becoming a fan of X Ambassadors, as the band is doing some serious good works lately. They've played a benefit show for Planned Parenthood, and are now donating six months' worth of sales from new single "Hoping" to the ACLU. Even if it's not your bag, consider buying it just because.
