Video Of The Day: Fufanu
There's a bunch of videos out there. Some of them are good. Some of them are a cut above. I like to think my picks for Video of The Day are a cut (or two) above.
Given that "Liability" comes from an album called Sports, the snarky sporting-themed video isn't necessarily a surprise. Be that as it may, I was pleasantly surprised by Iceland's Fufanu themselves, both in terms of their deadpan delivery in the video but primarily in the magnetic attraction of their sounds. In "Liability," a dark, slinking electropop crackles along under the sinuous tension of the controlled guitar jangling, and it's a heck of a winning combination.
